He purchased his first racing kart in mid-2021 and became a member of Combined Districts Kart Club based in Lithgow, NSW.  With his fierce determination, Angus was able to develop and progress extremely quickly in the sport.

In 2022, Angus started his first full season of racing in Karting NSW’s Junior Heavy Class.

He completed 20 Events in 2022, competing in 80 individual races.  He achieved 46 podiums for the year which included 16 wins, 20 seconds and 10 thirds.  He also secured 8 pole positions and 16 fastest laps.

In a sport where consistency is crucial to success, Angus amassed an incredible 72 Top 5 finishes out of 80 races (90%).

In his first year of racing, Angus secured the 2022 Combined District Kart Club Junior Heavy Championship, narrowly missing out on taking out the Overall Junior Club Championship, finishing second by just 3 points to the NSW State Champion.

In 2023, Angus raced with the Velocity Race Division, stepping up to compete at national level in the SP Tools Australian Kart Championship. He raced in the ultra competitive TAG 125 class, against the country's best drivers, including a number of current V8 Supercar drivers. It was a year of learning for Angus, and he heads into 2024 with a new level of confidence.

In 2024, Angus joined the experienced Troy Farley Race Team. The change provided Angus an opportunity to train with and learn from some of Australia’s best kart drivers and take the next step in his career. During the 2024 season, he continued to develop his race craft and driving skills and made a significant improvement on his previous season at national level.

In 2025, Angus will remain in TAG 125 and continue as part of the Troy Farley Race Team.

Angus is an Ambassador for Penrite Oil, a proud Australian Owned Company that continues to invest in grass roots Australian motorsport.

Angus lives in Sydney’s Hawkesbury region and is a student at the Sydney Distance Education High School, which helps Angus manage his commitment to both school and the track.

Custom Helmet Design

Angus' helmet design is one of special meaning. The Scottish Highland Bull is a nod to Angus' Scottish heritage and pays tribute to his great grandfather Jock Roy.  Jock grew up in Bonnyrigg near Edinburgh before immigrating to Australia, and later building battleships at Sydney's Cockatoo Island.

He was from a tough generation, and Angus shares many of Jock's character traits, including his fierce determination, dedication and focus, as well as his quiet measured approach. Like Jock, Angus gets on with the job at hand and never takes a backward step. The Highland Bull is therefore the perfect tribute.

On the rear of his helmet, Angus carries the initials of his grandfather, his biggest supporter.

Angus’ helmet was painted by Trent Rogers from 6 Star Custom Paint & Design. Click Here’ to see the helmets official unveiling, and to find out more about Trent’s amazing work.
