Hard Work Delivers Big Gains at Round 1

That's a wrap for Round 1 of the SP Tools Australian Kart Championship at Southern Go Kart Club in Bolivar, SA. An awesome track that really suited my driving style.

With TAG125 over-subscribed again for the 2024 season, with 80+ entrants, my imediate goal for Round 1 was to make it into the Upper 50% Qualifying Group and then Qualify as high as possible in that group. Job done with a P24 starting position for the weekend.

Worked hard during the four Heats with a P13, P20, P15 and my first Top 10 finish at AKC level, which got me comfortably through to the final on Sunday. I finished the final in P21 after running as high as P16.

Really happy with my progress so far this year and having the pace to run top 15-20 in the country. Plenty of learning still to do to be ready for Round 2 in Puckapunyal on 18-21 April 2024.
