CDKC - Round 3

It was almost the perfect weekend! A solid practice session on Saturday had the Kart dialed in for Sunday Race Day.

Light rain in the morning meant that Qualifying and the 2 heat races were on wet tyres in slippery conditions. I narrowly missed out on pole position by a 1 tenth of a second, and had a 2nd and a 1st in the two heats.

Unfortunately, in the Pre-final I was taken out from behind at the first corner and could only manage 5th, which was where I had to start the final.

Back on slick tyres and the Kart was on rails! Fought my way through the field and was able to snatch 2nd place on the last lap.

Overall, a great result .... still plenty to work on.

Well done to George on the win, he drove well all day and deserved the top step on the podium.
